Although Australian born, Amanda completed her legal training in the United Kingdom. She relocated to Canada, and qualified to practice in Canada in early 2011.
Amanda holds degrees in Medical Science and Law, with additional vocational training as a mental health worker. While training as a lawyer, she spent nearly 8 years working in homeless shelters and mental health facilities.
Amanda works primarily as a litigator in Supreme Court. She enjoys trial work, appeal and judicial review work. While she has a focus on family law, she has also had some experience in juvenile criminal defense work and civil litigation. She is regularly engaged as a speaker for conferences and teaching engagements in the areas of child protection and family law.
