Matthew Anderson

Litigator

Matt Anderson was born and raised on Vancouver Island, where as a boy he apprenticed as a piano technician and musician. Matt moved to East Vancouver as a teenager, where he became well acquainted with the challenges faced by low income persons and persons struggling with multiple barriers.

Matt attended Langara College as an undergraduate and transferred to UBC as a university transfer student. Matt was accepted into the Law program at UBC, and graduated in 2010.

Matt began working for Atticus Legal (then Evans Rose) in March of 2012, and discovered the appeal of assisting persons challenged by Family Law and Child Protection issues. While committed to conserving the financial and emotional resources of his clients through a belief in a collaborative and "out-of-court" approach; Matt maintains a hard line in negotiation and litigation where necessary, and enjoys the competition of trial work, where he has achieved considerable success.

Matt's caseload currently includes Divorce Act, Family Law Act; Child, Family, and Community Service Act, and Criminal Code matters.
